GREENFIELD -- Lloyd L. Benoit Jr., 73, died March 2, 2011, at Greenbriar Healthcare Terrace, Nashua.
He was born in St. Johnsbury, Vt., May 12, 1937, son of Lloyd L. Benoit Sr. and Mae F. (Brown) Benoit.
He was raised and educated in St. Johnsbury and had resided in Littleton for many years before moving to Greenfield in 1998.
He had been employed as a truck driver for Peerless Trucking in Nashua.
He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting, tinkering with cars and taking long drives throughout New Hampshire.
Family members include daughter Venessa E. Briere of Pelham; son Dana C. Benoit of Merrimack; three sisters, Kathy Ireland of Groton, Mass., Joyce Benoit of Westford, Mass., and Kim Peek of Mont Vernon; three brothers, Richard Benoit of Lisbon, Todd Benoit and Shawn Benoit, both of Maine; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia A. (Tardiff) Benoit, in 2008.
IN HIS LIFE: Family members also include son-in-law Michael Briere of Pelham; Michelle Moreau of Merrimack; two grandchildren, Jamie and Billy Briere; two step-grandchildren, Mia and Jessica Moreau; and one great-grandson, Robert Briere.
SERVICES: Visiting hours are Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. in Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm St., Milford, followed by cremation.
Burial will be in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Littleton, at a later date.
