This was the six Siudowski cousins in Philadelphia in November, 1967 after the funeral of our Grandpop Francis Siudowski. Julianne is seated in the center, looking as elegant as always.

Please send this to her daughter: Cousin Julianne was my first cousin, her late father Tom was my mother's brother. My younger brother, Robert, and I would see our cousin during visits with our Siudowski grandparents in Wilmington, Delaware. We saw her last about 10 years ago in Virginia and I am so very sad that I did not know of her passing, now more than 5 years ago. She was all that the obituary says: beautiful, brilliant, caring and exemplary. I have just ordered her book so that I might appreciate her thoughts in those final years. I know that she is at Home in Heaven with her Mother and Father. God Bless her. Cousin John F. Settich

I just now learned of Dr. Cooper's passing while researching former professors, the first step in reaching out to thank those who inspired me. And none inspired me more than Dr. Cooper. I am sad that I am too late to tell her how remarkable and brilliant I found her my freshman year at William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri. She taught there only briefly, but oh, the lives she touched during that time, inspiring more than one young woman to change their major to history. World Civilizations and World Religions came alive in a way I know they would not have if someone else had taught those courses. She taught us how to think critically, her classes were challenging and memorable. I was not one who changed my major, but I have never forgotten her ~ how beautiful, strong, intelligent, dynamic, and impressive I found her. I knew she was something special, and I feel so blessed she graced my life during her one year at WWU. I am not surprised to find so many tributes here that sound much the same as my own. Rest in peace, Dr. Cooper, I hope you know how many lives you touched. You are the definition of a life well-lived, one of inspiration and meaning.

This is a beautifully written, articulate and authentic description of this singular woman and her impressive accomplishments, her passion for education and for the students she embraced and her faith in Christ which was central to her life. She stands out in our minds as a person of honor and distinction who leaves an imprint that will surely continue to impact many for years to come.

The impact of her presence in my life will always be visible. She was the most dedicated and passionate professor I've had the pleasure of being around, and became a cherished friend. I am most fortunate to have known her and had her a part of my life. Her memory will forever be treasured.

Dr. Cooper not only was the professor that inspired me and shaped my approach to the study of history, she was also a kind and brilliant woman.

To my special author and friend that shared herself with me for two hours over lunch. That is a day I will never forget.
