CHESTER - Joseph M. Walsh, formerly of Dorchester and South Boston, Mass., died suddenly July 31, 2012.
He leaves his beloved wife, Sandra J. (Kelly) Walsh. He was the devoted father of Victoria E., Holly L., Katie A. and Kasey J. Walsh, all of New Hampshire. He was the loving son of the late Joseph M. and Helen A. (Masters) Walsh. He leaves his dear sister, Jayne Spencer O'Brien of Milton, Mass. He was the loving uncle of Melissa, Skylar and Matthew Spencer of Canton, Mass.
He is also survived by his favorite mother-in-law, Nancy Kelly, and his favorite little ballplayer, Alex.
He had been the 17-year head baseball coach at Harvard University and a former graduate and 15-year coach at Suffolk University..SERVICES: Visiting hours from the O'Brien Funeral Home, 146 Dorchester St., South Boston, will be Friday from 3 to 8 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Brigid Church, 841 E. Broadway, South Boston, on Saturday at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends invited.
Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester, Mass.
