Michael S. Carney

Michael S. Carney, 44, of Sullivan, NH, passed away Thursday February 9, 2017. He was born in Melrose, MA on September 24, 1972, a son of Bartholomew J. Jr. and Sylvia (Purple) Carney. Michael was a 1990 graduate of Pinkerton Academy in Derry, NH and went on to attend St. Anselm College in Goffstown, NH, where he received his bachelor's degree. Michael was employed as an account executive for The Rowley Agency for seven years. He loved music and was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing with his family, playing baseball and visiting the beach, especially the Cape. Michael was a selectman in Sullivan from 2003-2007.

He is survived by his wife Nicole Carney; daughter Cassandra; and 2 sons, Hayden and Liam, from a previous marriage; sister, Caryn Perkins; two nieces, Chantel and Tara Perkins; and his nephew, Brian Carney. Michael is predeceased by his sister, Michelle Grey.

Following cremation, a Liturgy of Christian Service will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry.
