BEDFORD - Alice O. Quintal, 86, of Bedford, and a former longtime resident of 4 Hancock Lane, Merrimack, died suddenly Dec. 14, 2012, at Elliot Hospital in Manchester.

She was born in Berlin on Oct. 1, 1926, a daughter of the late Gaudias and Marie Louise (Gagne) Halle.
Before retirement, Mrs. Quintal was a financial secretary for Doehla Greeting Cards and was also a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Merrimack.
She is the widow of Alfred A. Quintal, who died in 1991.
Members of her family include two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Cheryl Quintal of Manchester, and John and Kristine Quintal of Bedford; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Helen and David Rodgers of Lincoln, and Joanne and Thomas Riley of Merrimack; seven grandchildren, Micum, Ryan, Danielle, Alex, Matthew, Morgan, Joseph; and one great-grandchild, Skyler; a brother, Alyre Halle; and a sister, Jacqueline Anderson, both of Quebec, Canada; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Gulien Halle and Lionel Halle, both of Quebec.
services: There are no calling hours. A memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday Dec. 22. in Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Last Rest Cemetery, Merrimack. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the New England Police Benevolent Association, Local 12, 31 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack, 03054.
