GOFFSTOWN - Charles Edgar Brison, 88, died Jan. 3, 2013, at Franklin Regional Hospital following a period of declining health.

Born in Somerville, Mass., he has resided in Goffstown since 1951. He was the son of Edgar S. and Flora (Trefry) Brison.

Mr. Brison was employed as a service technician with Pitney Bowes for 34 years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army Air Corps, and of the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Army. He was a member of Goffstown Congregational Church, where he was involved with the choir, youth fellowship group and taught Sunday School. A dedicated Mason, he was a member of Lafayette-Bible Lodge No. 41 for more than 50 years. He was active in many Masonic activities, including past master, chaplain emeritus of Bektash Shrine and Demolay advisor. He was a Boy Scout and leader of Troop 99 of Goffstown.

Members of his family include his wife of 64 years, Ginny Brison of Goffstown; three children, Jan Nawoj of Goffstown, Tom Brison of Hooksett and his wife, Marilyn, and Sandi Decknick of Goffstown; eight grandchildren, Jenn, Martin, Chuck, Heather, Chris, Josh, Phil and Taylor; as well as two great-grandchildren, Ben and Maddy.

services: Visitation will be held Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. at French and Rising Funeral Home, 17 South Mast St., Goffstown. Funeral and Masonic services with military honors will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Spring burial will be in New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bektash Shrine Temple Children's Hospital Transportation Fund, P.O. Box 4086, Concord, 03302 or New Hampshire Veterans Home, Recreation Fund, 139 Winter St., Tilton, 03276 .
