MANCHESTER - Dorothy U. Bugbee, 89, died Dec. 5, 2012, at Catholic Medical Center after a sudden illness.

She was born in Manchester on Feb. 27, 1923, the daughter of Roy and Marion Hughes.
She lived in Manchester for most of her life and moved to Goffstown to be with her daughter, son-in-law and their family after the death of her husband, George L. Bugbee in December 1993.
Prior to her retirement in 1998, Dorothy had been employed as a switchboard operator by the Greater Manchester Mental Health Center for more than 20 years. She had previously been employed for many years by Chem Fab.
She was a former communicant of OLPH parish. She was devoted to her family and always cared and loved them. She enjoyed her time at the farm, watching the horses run and even helped her daughter in cleaning the barn. Her dog Rascal held a special place in her heart.
She is survived by three daughters, Joyce Boudreau and her husband, Robert of Goffstown, Karen Cloutier and her husband, Jay of Florida and Sharon Tsantoulis of Belmont; a son Bruce Bugbee of Portland Oregon; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Hughes of Manchester; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Katherine Ginnity.
SERVICES: An hour of gathering will be held Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. followed by a memorial ceremony in the McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St., Manchester. Urn burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.mchughfuneralhome.com.
