BOW - Douglas A. Lamontagne, 85, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at his home.

He was born in Lancaster, son of the late William and Florence (Merriam) Lamontagne. He attended Lebanon High School, leaving early to serve his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Douglas was employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a postal clerk for 28 years, retiring in 1987.

He enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events which he did frequently, going out to lunch everyday with his friends, and looked forward to attending the annual N.H. Good Roads Show every year.

He was predeceased by his wife, Jeannette (Dionne) Lamontagne.

He is survived by his son, Mark Lamontagne and his wife Kathy; two grandchildren, Nate and Maria; sister, Marion Rand; and one niece.


services: Calling hours are Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. in Waters Funeral Home, 50 S. Main St., Concord.

Funeral services and burial with military honors will take place in the spring at Evans Cemetery, Bow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CRVNA Hospice Program, 30 Pillsbury St., Concord, 03301.
