HUDSON - Douglas Hackett, 72, of Hudson, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at his residence following a brief illness.

He was born May 28, 1940, in Newport, son of the late Harrison and Ena (Grierson) Hackett.

Doug was a math teacher with the Merrimack school system for over 30 years. He enjoyed gardening, spending time with his family and friends, attending yard sales, and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics and the New England Patriots. He will be missed by all who knew him.

His loving family includes his daughter, Rhonda LeBlanc and her husband Michael, and two grandchildren, Troy LeBlanc and Tanner LeBlanc, all of Chesapeake, Va.; as well as many dear neighbors and friends.

services: Following cremation, visiting hours will be held on Friday, Dec. 28, from 2 to 3:30 p.m., with a service of remembrance at 3:30 p.m. in the Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Ferry St. in Hudson.
