RAYMOND - Edward W. Moulton, 84, died May 26, 2011, at Catholic Medical Center, Manchester.
He was born Dec. 19, 1926, in Haverhill, Mass., to Grover C. and Sarah (McGall) Moulton.
A lifelong resident of Raymond, he graduated from Raymond High School in 1944 and served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was a member of American Legion Herd-Welch Post 90 and the VFW Maple-Wheadon Post 4479 of Raymond.
He retired from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard after a 30-year career as a machinist, and he later drove a school bus for Provider all over southern New Hampshire.
He was a former selectman for Raymond and formerly served on the Raymond Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the Raymond Historical Society, Tucker Lodge 99 of Raymond, and was also a longtime member of the Raymond Congregational Church, where he was an instrumental part of the annual church chicken barbecue. He was also active in the local Memorial Day celebration and annually marched in the town parade.
He had a love of baseball, was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed gardening. He was also the host of a Wednesday night men's group best known as the "Jolly Boys."

IN HIS LIFE: He was predeceased by his wife, Jean (Gordon) Moulton, who died in 2002, and his sister, Sylvia Saunders, who passed away recently on Jan. 13, 2011. He is survived by two sons, Robert E. and his wife, Sherry Moulton, of Deerfield, and Donald G. and his wife, Kim Moulton, of Raymond; his daughter, Ellen F. Moulton of Raymond; two grandchildren, Alexandra Moulton and Kyle Moulton; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

SERVICES: Calling hours are Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brewitt Funeral Home, 2 Epping St., Raymond. The funeral is Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Raymond Congregational Church, 1 Church St., Raymond.
