MANCHESTER - Eva L. (Lemay) Sousa, 86, of Manchester, died Jan. 21, 2013, at Northeast Rehabilitation in Nashua after a brief illness.

She was born in Manchester on June 9, 1926, to Napoleon and Rosanna (Pomerleau) Lemay. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Mrs. Sousa worked at Velcro USA in Manchester for many years. In her younger years she enjoyed roller-skating. She later enjoyed bowling, swimming and crocheting.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Shirley Sousa, in 2009; and by her siblings, Yvonne Pelo, Antoinette Lemay and Albert Lemay.
The family includes her husband of 64 years, John U. Sousa of Manchester; a daughter, Linda Nelson and her husband, Richard, of Clearwater, Fla.; three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
services: A calling hour will be Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester. A funeral ceremony will follow immediately at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Committal prayers will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery Mausoleum, Calef Road, Manchester.
