CENTER BARNSTEAD - Ferdinando "Fred" Aversa, 84, of Center Barnstead, died April 19, 2012.

He was born to Armando and Raffaela Aversa, in Yonkers, N.Y., on Nov. 1, 1927.

He served in the Army during World War II, attended Paul Smith College and Syracuse University, graduating in 1953. Fred was branch vice president with Dartmouth Bank, retiring in 1990. He loved forestry and gardening.

Fred is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janet; five children, Randolph Aversa of Virginia; Daniel Aversa, Bobbie Aversa, Judith Stowell and Michael Aversa, all of New Hampshire; one brother, Francisco Aversa of Florida; and three sisters, Raffaela Simonetti of New Jersey, and Lucia Aversa and Mary Cannito, both of New York; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

services: Services will be held on Wednesday, April 25, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Church, 135 North Main St., Concord, NH. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be sent to N.H. Catholic Charities at www.nh-cc.org.
