Candia - Francis W. DeMayo of East Candia died March 3, 2014, at Catholic Medical Center after a brief illness.He was born in Charlestown on March 26, 1928, the son of the late John J. and Dorothy (Hamlin) DeMayo.He graduated from Raymond High School in 1947. That summer while building the Errol Dam in Errol, Francis met Elsie Littlehale, whom he later married. Francis was a foreman and later an inspector for the N.H. Department of Transportation before he retired. He was a member of the Rockingham Lodge 76, F & AM in Candia. Francis enjoyed hunting, fishing and tending his vegetable garden.Francis is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Elsie (Littlehale) DeMayo of East Candia; his brother, Donald DeMayo of Tilton; his sister, Mary (DeMayo) Moconas of Newport; and many nieces and nephews..

Services: Friends are invited to Maiden Petrin Funeral Home, 45 High St. in Candia, on Saturday, March 8, from 1 to 2 p.m. A funeral will follow at 2 p.m. at Maiden Petrin Funeral Home.
