NASHUA - Ida A. Soucy, 78, of Nashua, passed away peacefully on Dec. 29, 2012, at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester after a long illness.

She was born on April 22, 1934, in Nashua, daughter of the late Adelard and Rose (Boucher) Belanger.
Ida was predeceased by her husband, Roland Soucy in 1993, and six brothers, Raymond Belanger, Noel Belanger, Gerald Belanger, Pat Belanger, Paul Belanger and Red Belanger.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis Soucy and his wife, Maria of Citrus County, Fla., and David Soucy of Merrimack; a daughter, Ella and her husband, Robert Tyrrell of Nashua; a granddaughter, Lisa and her husband, Trevor Count of Milford; a sister, Yvonne Levesque of Nashua; many nieces and nephews and many, many friends (old and new, both young and old).
Ida was a master in the kitchen. She was known for her salmon pie, baked beans and date nut balls, and those were only a few of Ida "Meme" Soucy's legendary creations. Ida always made everyone feel at home.
Everyone was welcome at Ida's table.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be held today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack.A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Louis De Gonzague Church, 48 W. Hollis St., Nashua. Burial will follow at St. Louis Cemetery, 752 W. Hollis St., Nashua.
