MANCHESTER - James G. Garber, 65, of Manchester, died Oct. 28, 2013, at a local health care facility, after a long illness.

He was born in Connecticut on Feb. 1, 1948. Mr. Garber resided in the Queen City for many years.
During the Vietnam War, he served with the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of American Legion William H. Jutras Post 43 and a lifetime member of the Alpine Club.
Family members include two brothers; his sister; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
services: Following cremation, a committal service with take place Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the N.H. State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen. Urn encryptment with military honors will follow.
