MANCHESTER - Joan M. Fox, 83, of Manchester, died Sept. 18, 2012, at Courville at Manchester after a period of declining health.

Born in Whitefield on Aug. 7, 1929, she was the daughter of J. Lionel and Frances (Burns) Mullavey. She resided in the Queen City most of her life.
She graduated from St.Joseph High School for Girls.
Until her retirement in 1990, she was an office manager with the Marriage Tribunal at the Diocese of Manchester for 25 years.
Joan was a longtime communicant of St. Catherine Church.
A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, her family was the center of her life. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially at the beach, as well as having ice cream and dining at The Backroom. She was fond of her dog, Rangeley.
She was married 54 years to Calvin Fox. He died March 22, 2006.
Family members include her five daughters, Cynthia Blixt and her husband, Robert, of Hooksett; Jennifer Pedley and her husband, Robert of Bow; Carolyn Elias of Hooksett; Judith Duford and her husband, Randy of Goffstown; and Casey Pepin and her husband, Mark of Auburn; her son, Jonathan Fox and his wife, Ann of Rye; 13 grandsons, Matthew and Joshua Blixt, Brian Chickering, Travis and Garrett Pedley, Daniel and Joseph Duford, Aaron and Aidan Elias, Colin Campbell, Sam, Jack and Owen Fox; seven granddaughters, Erin Heck and Kristen Weir, Megan Blixt, Kaleigh and Kelsea Campbell and Katelyn and Keegan Pepin; seven great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Mullavey of Arizona. She was predeceased by her brother, Paul Mullavey.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union St., corner of Concord Street, Manchester. The funeral will be Saturday, Sept. 22, followed by a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine Church, Manchester. Burial will take place in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Bedford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to
