LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Joseph Leo Beaton, 52, formerly of Derry, N.H., died Oct. 8, 2011, at Embracing Hospice of Snellville, after a lengthy illness.

He was born on May 19, 1959, in Everett, Mass., the son of Leo A. Beaton and the late Anita L. (Murphy) Beaton, who died in 2010. He was raised and educated in Derry, N.H., and was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy.
Mr. Beaton was employed by Costco Inc. as an inventory control specialist. He worked for Costco for 19 years, and had relocated with the company several times, settling in Georgia, where he lived for several years.
While in Georgia, he developed many relationships and had many great friends.
As an outdoorsman, he enjoyed camping, working in his yard and planting trees and flowers. He was also an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.
Members of the family include his father of Bonita Springs, Fla.; a brother, David Beaton and his wife Sonia of East Derry, N.H.; a sister, Denise Gagnon and her husband Robert of Londonderry, N.H.; several nieces, nephews, a grandniece and a grandnephew.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Thursday, Oct. 13, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, N.H. Following cremation, a graveside service will be held Saturday, Oct. 15, at 10 a.m. in Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry.
