PEMBROKE - Kasey Michelle Griffin, 14, of Pembroke, died Aug. 21, 2012, surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Manchester on Nov. 24, 1997, the daughter of Matt Griffin Jr. and Tina (St. Gelais) Amyot. She was educated in Pembroke schools and was a recent graduate of Three Rivers School.
Kasey will be remembered as an incredibly strong and determined young woman who achieved much in her short life. She enjoyed listening to music and loved going to school, where she earned the Student of the Year award and graduated from Three Rivers with honors.
Family members include her mother, Tina Amyot, and her husband, Scott, of Pembroke; her father, Matthew Griffin and his wife, Kate, of Hooksett; many stepbrothers and sisters; her maternal grandparents, Bob and Priscilla St. Gelais of Bedford; her paternal grandmother, Doris Griffin, of Manchester; Scott's parents, Lucille and Roger Amyot of Pembroke; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Kate's mother, Grandma "B," for her kindness.
SERVICES: Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Sreet, Manchester, will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at noon in St. John the Baptist Church, 10 School St., Allenstown. Burial will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Hooksett.
