CLAREMONT - Lewis R. Hall, 82, of Charlestown Road, Claremont, died on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at Valley Regional Hospital.

He was born in Plymouth, on Dec. 19, 1930, the son of Lewis P. and Gladys (Crane) Hall.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Army.
Lewis worked as a rewinder at the Claremont paper mill for 35 years.
He loved to rebuild antique cars, especially a 1930 Ford truck and a 1957 Chevy Bel Air.
The family includes his wife, Mary R. Dings, whom he married on May 3, 1958; a son, Lawrence L. Hall and his wife, Julie; a daughter, Donna M. Allen and her husband, Dennis; grandchildren, Jeremy Hall and his fiancé, Crystal, Hilary Banner and her husband, Sam, Jeffery Hall and his wife, April, Brady Bennett and his wife, Valerie, Christina Sherwood and her husband, Danny, and Samantha Allen; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Madison and Alicia Hall, Alison, Emily and Sophia Banner, Daniel Sherwood Jr. and Elizabeth Sherwood, Betsy, Junette, Mya, Tyler, Hannah and Ryan Bennett.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Hall, and a brother, Lyall Hall.
services: Friends and family may call at Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad St., in Claremont on Friday evening, Oct. 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday morning, Oct. 26, at 11 a.m. at the Grace River Church in Claremont. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery with military honors.
