MANCHESTER - Lillian C. Ayer, 88, of Manchester, passed away Feb. 24, 2013, at Villa Crest Health Care Center in Manchester.

Mrs. Ayer was born Jan. 28, 1925, in Manchester, a daughter of Frank and Catherine (Blasik) Orlop and had been a Hooksett resident for many years.

Prior to retirement, Mrs. Ayer was employed with Manchester Hosiery Company as well as with Kmart.

Mrs. Ayer was a longtime active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Manchester.

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard H. Ayer, and her brother, Rudolph Orlop.

Family includes one son, Richard A. Ayer and his wife, Karen; two daughters, Linda Cannata and her husband, Michael, and Lesley Wallace and her husband, David; as well as five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.


services: Calling hours will be Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Cate & Johnson Funeral Home, 573 Pine St., corner of Harrison Street, in Manchester. The funeral will be conducted on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Cate & Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Manchester.
