MANCHESTER - Maurice "Moe" Camire, 70, of Manchester, passed on Aug. 16, 2012.

Mr. Camire was born June 12, 1942, in Goffstown, a son of George and Juliette (Bernard) Camire and had been a Manchester resident for most of his life.

Prior to retirement, Mr. Camire was a carpenter, having served the Greater Manchester area for many years.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Mr. Camire was a 2012 recipient of The Myra Kraft Community MVP–New England Patriots Charitable Foundation Award, recognizing his volunteerism at First United Methodist Church Food Pantry. Mr. Camire had been a longtime active member of First United Methodist Church.

Family includes his wife of 43 years, Martha (McCall) Camire; two sons, Michael Camire and his wife, Corina, and Scott Camire and his wife, Alicia; one daughter, Lisa Johnson and her husband, Don; eight grandchildren; one brother, Roger Camire; two sisters, Jean Gagne and Claire Kellogg; as well as several nieces and nephews.


SERVICES: Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cate & Johnson Funeral Home, 573 Pine St., corner of Harrison Street, in Manchester. The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Manchester. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
