LONDONDERRY - Michael Campbell, 58, of Londonderry, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, following a brief illness.

He was born on June 12, 1954, in Glasgow, Scotland, a son of Michael "John" Campbell and the late Annie W. (Johnston) Campbell. Michael moved to the United States with his family when he was young, settling in Derry, where he spent his childhood. He served in the U.S Navy. Michael worked for over 25 years for Electropac in Manchester and more recently was a chef at Serenity Place in Manchester. He enjoyed playing the drums and singing with a number of different bands and was an avid Beatles fan. He loved the White Mountains, cooking for family and friends and traveling. Michael had a great sense of humor, which he kept right until the very end. He will be sadly missed by many friends.
He is survived by two daughters, Andrea Collins and her husband, Toby Sr., of Geneva, Fla., and Vanessa Barros of Derry; three grandchildren, Toby Collins Jr., Carli Collins and Annabelle Collins; his father, John Campbell, of Manchester; sister-in-law Annie Campbell of Goffstown; former wife, Holly Barros, of Derry, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Annie W. Campbell, and one brother, Ian Campbell.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on Wednesday Aug. 8, 2012, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry.
