MERRIMACK - Nancy L. DeGrandpre, 57, of Merrimack, died Dec. 14, 2012, after a period of failing health.

Born in Lynn, Mass., on June 20, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Richard Appleton and Joyce (Carew) Appleton.

Mrs. DeGrandpre graduated from Lynn English High School and attended North Shore Community College. She served with the U.S. Army.

For many years, she was a mechanical assembler with General Electric Company. Later, she worked at Solid Scape Company.

A loving and devoted wife, mother, and daughter, her family was the center of her life. She enjoyed walks on the beach and reading, especially historical novels.

In addition to her mother of Lynn, Mass., family members include her husband of 23 years, Denis P. DeGrandpre of Merrimack; two sons, Denis C. and James A., both of Merrimack; two daughters, Antoinette of Hartford, Conn., and Jacqueline of Merrimack; her brother, Wayne Appleton of Hampton; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Jason, who died in 1985.

services: Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union St., corner of Concord Street, Manchester. Burial will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn, MA.
