NASHUA - Paul J. Dion, 85, of Nashua passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at his home surrounded by family.

Paul was born in Frampton, Quebec, Canada, on July 25, 1927, a son of the late Joseph and Marie (Audet) Dion. He was the husband of Marie-Luce (Audet) Dion of Nashua for 63 years.
Paul immigrated to the U.S. in 1959 and became a citizen in the 1960s. Paul was always a hard worker and had jobs as a farmer, lumberjack, and construction worker. Prior to his retirement, Paul was a casket maker at Batesville Caskets for 25 years. In his spare time, Paul enjoyed all types of fishing, gardening, woodworking, bowling and playing card games. His favorite pastime was watching "The Price Is Right" and "Wheel of Fortune."
Paul was predeceased by two sisters, Marie-Ange Jacques, and Rosa Groleau; and two brothers, Henri Dion and Rosaire Dion.
Besides his wife, Paul is survived by two daughters; Marie-Paule Jamieson of Nashua, and Rita Champagne and her husband Michael, of Nashua; three sons, the Rev. Gerard Dion of Nashua, Marc Dion and his wife Joane, of Derry, and Serge Dion and his wife Debra, of Hudson; 10 grandchildren, Aaron Champagne, Korianna Champagne, Eric Dion and his wife Chante, C.J. Patterson, Alexandra Dion, Jonathan Dion and his wife Sarah, Jennifer Dion, Bradley Dion, Sharon Dion, and Joseph Dion; one sister, Aurora Groleau of Compton, Quebec; one brother, Alfred Dion of Coaticook, Quebec; also, several nieces, nephews, and cousins in America and Canada.
The family would like to thank the physicians at Foundation Internal Medicine; the physicians, nurses, case workers, and staff at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center; the physicians, nurses, caregivers, counselors, and ministers at Home Health & Hospice Care; and their friends and family.
services: Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, Dec. 6, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home, 21 Kinsley St., Nashua. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, Dec. 7, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 216 East Dunstable Road, Nashua. Everyone is invited to meet at church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home Health & Hospice Care 7 Executive Park Drive Merrimack, 03054.
