MANCHESTER - Pauline J. Johnson, 86, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on Feb. 23, 2013, at Villa Crest Health Care Center with her family by her side.

Mrs. Johnson was born Sept, 8, 1926, in Manchester, a daughter of Frank and Eugenie (Ducas) Courchesne and had been a lifelong resident of this community.
Prior to retirement, Mrs. Johnson was employed with J.F. McElwain Company for many years. Mrs. Johnson was one of the original coordinators of St. Catherine Church Outreach Program.
Family includes her husband of 65 years, Carl A. Johnson; two sons, Richard W. Johnson and his wife, Judy, and Brian C. Johnson and his wife, Karen; four grandchildren, Michael Johnson, Karin Johnson, Sean Johnson and Kevin Johnson; one great-grandchild, Madeline Johnson; as well as many nieces and nephews.
services: Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cate & Johnson Funeral Home, 573 Pine St., corner of Harrison Street, in Manchester. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Catherine Church in Manchester. Burial will take place at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
Flowers are acceptable and memorial contributions may be sent to New Hampshire Catholic Charities, 215 Myrtle St., Manchester 03104.
