AUBURN -Philip M. Hrycuna, 72, of Auburn, died Aug. 20, 2013, in a local healthcare facility, surrounded by his loving family, after a period of declining health.

Born in Manchester on Jan. 27, 1941, he was the son of Mitroe and Grace (Eaton) Hrycuna. He resided in Auburn for the past 43 years.
He was a graduate of Manchester Memorial High School, Class of 1961.
Until his retirement, he was a heavy equipment operator for Robie Construction Co. as well as the International Union of Operating Engineers No. 98.
He was a member of Candia Masonic Lodge.
Philip will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. An outdoorsman, he especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling. He was an avid New England sports fan. He was fond of his dog Maggie. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Family members include his wife of 50 years, Christine W. (Souter) Hrycuna of Auburn; his son, Jeffrey S. Hrycuna of Auburn; his daughter Jani S. Hrycuna of Avondale, Ariz.; his granddaughter, Simone; three brothers, Charles Hrycuna of Manchester, Ronald Hrycuna of Candia, and Peter Hrycuna of Raymond; two sisters, Mary Hayes and Linda Rollins both of Candia; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
SERVICES: After cremation, a celebration of his life will be held Friday from 4 to 7 at the Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union St., corner of Concord Street, Manchester.
A memorial service will be held Friday in the funeral home at 6 p.m.
