BERLIN - Richard Gerard "Rick" Cusson of Berlin passed away Wednesday evening Oct. 23, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family. He was 60.

Born on April 2, 1953, in Berlin, he was the son of Paul and Lucille (Leclerc) Cusson.
Richard grew up in Berlin, attended St. Joseph Grammar School and was a 1971 graduate of Notre Dame High School.
On April 21, 1974, he married Nancy (Durant) of Berlin. They made their home in Berlin and together they had three sons, Brian, Tim and Scott.
Rick was employed at Public Service Company of New Hampshire as a hydro working foreman until his retirement due to his illness in August 2013.
He was a communicant of St. Anne's Church now known as Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin.
He enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, four wheeling and fishing. He participated in several fishing derbies throughout New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont. He was a fan of the Patriots and the Red Sox. His favorite color was green. Although he loved all those things nothing compared to the love he had for his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
He is predeceased by his parents and his sons Scott and Timothy.
He leaves his loving wife of 39 years Nancy A. Cusson; his son Lt Col. Brian R. Cusson and wife Elizabeth of Tucson, Ariz.; daughter-in-law Bridget Cusson of Milan; and his grandchildren, Hayleigh, Nicholas, Madison and Hadley. In addition, he leaves behind six siblings; Paul Cusson and wife Fran of Berlin; Paulette Theriault and husband Sylvio of Epsom; Jane Caouette and husband Ronald of Dover; Ann Marie White and husband Gary of Berlin; Robert Cusson and wife Lynne of Bethlehem; and Monique Lavertu and husband Robin of Berlin; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
SERVICES: Friends and relatives may call on the family on Sunday, Oct. 27, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High St. in Berlin. (Use School Street entrance) A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Rev. Marc Gagne will officiate. The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Anne's Cemetery in Berlin.
