MANCHESTER - Rita A. (Lambert) Vaillancourt, 76, of Manchester, died peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 19, at her home.

Born in Manchester Rita was the daughter of the late Edouard and Aurore (Gonthier) Lambert.

A proud, devoted daughter and committed mother, her family was paramount in her life. She enjoyed her arts and crafts and lovingly made knitted gifts for her family and many friends. She also enjoyed music, movies, and dancing and the company of friends and family and her feathered companion, Lucky. Rita will be remembered as a unconditionally loving kind and gentle soul who was a friend to many. A proud, devoted loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother; Rita was and always will be an elegant and graceful lady. May her wings be wide and her presence be strong. She will be eternally loved and missed. God bless her soul.

Rita is survived by her three sons, Normand, Leo, and Ernest Vaillancourt, all of Manchester; her three grandchildren, Michel and Michelle Vaillancourt of Florida, and Barry Wilson and his wife Dawn of Manchester; three great-grandchildren, Emma, Devyn, and Kiera; former husband Mr. Paul L. Vaillancourt, of Texas; extended family and friends, and her beloved bird, Lucky. Rita was predeceased by her son Armand P. Vaillancourt, in 2010, and her brother Roger Lambert in 1931.


SERVICES: Her committal service will be held Friday, Dec. 28, at Mount Calvary Mausoleum Chapel at noon. Relatives and friends are invited.
