MERRIMACK - Rita C. McKenna, 86, of Merrimack and formerly of Haddon Heights, N.J., died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, in Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare in Nashua, after a long illness.

She was born in Philadelphia on Feb. 18, 1926, a daughter of the late John Wallace and Anna (McManus) Wallace Hasson.

Mrs. McKenna was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. McKenna is pre-deceased by a grandson, Timothy Gibson and a sister Anna Mae McDermott.

Members of her family include her husband of 66 years, George McKenna II of Merrimack; five sons and three daughters-in-law, George and Cathy McKenna III of Houston, John McKenna of Deptford, N.J., Michael and Lea Mc-?Kenna of Wisconsin, Daniel and Barbara McKenna of Lyons, Colo., and Joseph McKenna of Merrimack; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Susan McKenna and her husband, Stephen Padalino, of Conesus, N.Y., Elaine and Thomas Gibson of Merrimack, Nancy McKenna of Longmont, Colo., Patricia and her husband, Bruce Weatherwax, of Austin, Texas, and Rita and Ron Parker of Conesus, N.Y.; 4 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Wallace; and several nieces and nephews.

services: Calling hours will be held in the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Hwy., Merrimack, on Sunday, Jan. 6, from 6 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack, on Monday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Last Rest Cemetery, Merrimack.
