MANCHESTER - Robert Douglas "Doug" McKay II passed away Nov. 25, 2012 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

He was born in Manchester on July 28, 1957, the son of the late Robert D. McKay I and Carolyn (née Sanders) McKay.
Doug was the center of a loving family, a kind and loving husband, stepfather, grandfather and most of all, friend. He enjoyed life to the fullest, always happy and there with a joke and a smile. Doug loved playing his drums, bowling, camping, his grandchildren and taking them to the mountains or just staying at home watching movies and eating popcorn.
He worked for many years in the parts department of Betley Chevrolet in Derry and also worked part time for many years at Lakeside Bowling Lanes in Manchester.
Doug served in the Marines from 1976 to 1988.
He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Diane (Loughner) McKay; step-son Roger Loughner of Manchester; the joys of his life, his grandchildren, Blaise and Ryder Loughner of Manchester; sister, Donna Farley of Manchester; brother, Scot McKay and his wife, Donna of Lawrenceville, Ga.; aunt and uncle JoAnn and Charles Scontras of Cape Elizabeth, Maine; several nieces, nephews and cousins and his best buds from work.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. at the Goodwin Funeral Home, 607 Chestnut St., Manchester.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Elliot VNA Hospice, 1070 Holt Ave., Suite 1400, Manchester 03109.
