MANCHESTER - Rosianne M. Houle, 91, of Manchester passed away Jan. 9, 2013, at St. Theresa Manor after a long illness. She was born in Victoriaville, Quebec, Canada, on Aug. 3, 1921, the daughter of Alfred and Melinda (Babineau) Godin.

She came to the United States as a teenager and settled with her family in Lewiston, Maine. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1942. Rosianne married Rosario Houle and traveled extensively in support of her husband's career. She has resided in Manchester for the past 20 years.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a bookkeeper by Dugas Express Trucking and Auto Electric Auto Parts of Manchester.
Rosianne will be remembered as a sprightly, independent woman who was never afraid to say what was on her mind. A devout Catholic, she was a communicant of St. Peter Church in Auburn. She cherished her children, grandchildren, as well as her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and will be sorely missed.
She is survived by a daughter, Diane Cecchetti and her husband Joseph, of Auburn; five grandchildren, Melinda (Houle) Breen and her husband Tom, of Beltsville Md., Donald Houle Jr. and his wife Kristin, of Irvine Calif., Jeanne Marie (Houle) Harrison and her husband Mike, of Chesapeake Beach, Md., Matthew Cecchetti and his wife Miranda, of Manchester and Kristen Cecchetti of Poway, Calif.; 12 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law Rose Marie Houle of Chesapeake Beach, Md. She was predeceased by her husband, Rosario, in 2001; and her son, Donald R. Houle in 2011.
services: Calling hours will be on Sunday, Jan. 13, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St., corner of Beech Street, Manchester. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Peter Church, 575 Manchester Road, Auburn. Burial will be in St. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Lewiston, Maine, at 2 p.m., Monday.
