ASHLAND - Scot T. Maywalt, 40, died Dec. 16, 2011, at Dartmouth Hospital in Lebanon.
He was born on Feb. 9, 1971, in Binghamton, N.Y., to Ellen Germann of West Lafayette, Ind., and the late James Maywalt.
He was raised and educated in Manchester, graduating from Central High School. He later received his bachelor's degree from University of New Hampshire. He was a resident of Ashland for the past 20 years.
Most recently, he worked at Burndy Industries. Previously he worked at the Vintage Fret Shop, repairing and restoring fine musical instruments.
Besides his mother, survivors include his stepfather, Jay Melosh of West Lafayette, Ind.; brother, Stephen Maywalt and his wife, Melissa, of Massachusetts; sister, Margaret Williams of Colorado; two nephews and two nieces. He was also predeceased by his younger brother, Quinn Joseph Maywalt.
