CHESTER -- Sean P. McLaughlin, 42, died Nov. 5, 2008, in Manchester.
He was born in Boston on Nov. 20, 1965, to Jonathan and Dorothy (Ellsbree) McLaughlin. He was a resident of Chester for the past three years. Prior to that, he resided in Manchester.
He was a quality assurance director at TransMedics, Andover, Mass. He was a six-year veteran of the United States Navy, having served in the Persian Gulf as a Navy Seal.
He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. He coached girls softball at MGSL and also volunteered with the Chester Recreational League.
SERVICES: A memorial gathering is Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St., corner of Union Street, Manchester. Burial will be at a later date in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
Memorial donations may be made on behalf of Mr. McLaughlin's three surviving children, payable to Citizens Bank, c/o Sean McLaughlin Memorial Fund, 98 Lady Slipper Lane, Chester 03036.

My wife and I are saddened by Sean's passing. I had worked with Sean at Siemens and we have always been in close contact. I will miss him and I will always remember the good times we had.
