MANCHESTER - Steven Martin, 68, of Manchester, died at his home on Nov. 1, 2012, from complications of Alzheimer's disease.

He was born Nov. 22, 1943, in Malden, Mass., the second son of Herbert and Evelyn (Dunn) Martin. He is survived by his wife Jeanne (Demers) Martin.
He was raised and educated in Chelsea, Mass. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1968 until 1974. Steve was a lead guitar player and vocalist for over 30 years performing single acts and performing with various bands in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. He also played piano, bass guitar, and rhythm guitar. Following his career in music he worked as a bartender at the VFW in Suncook, and American Legion Post 79 in Manchester for many years.
Steve most enjoyed playing trivia games with his friends and family, always searching for the perfect question to stump his friends! He was a former member of Mensa and Intertel. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 79.
SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 6, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St., Manchester.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Steve's name to Manchester VNA Hospice, 1070 Holt Ave., Manchester, 03109.
