GOFFSTOWN - Teresa Kyriacos of Goffstown passed away Sept. 26, 2013, at Catholic Medical Center after 97 years of love and laughter.
Born on March 1, 1916, to Ralph Swanson and Teresa (Shea) Swanson, she attended Manchester Schools . She worked in the Amoskeag Mills until marrying William L. Kyriacos in July of 1944. Together they owned and ran the Bedford Bowl-O-Drome for many years and divided their time between their homes in Bedford ,and Hollywood, Fla. She raised two girls, Margaret Kathleen Kyriacos and Merrilee Ann (Kyriacos) Thissell. Teresa returned back to New Hampshire seven years ago to live with her daughter, Merrilee, and son-in-law, Richard R. Thissell, of Goffstown. She had recently moved to the Hillsborough County Nursing Home. Teresa was an excellent seamstress and cook. She loved crafts of all kinds and surrounded herself with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her pets. A fan of tennis and the Red Sox, she would know the schedule of games better than anyone else in the family.
She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, William L. Kyriacos, her daughter, Margaret Kyriacos, and her grandson, Jameson G. Thissell, M.D. She is survived by her daughter, Merrilee Thissell, and son-in-law, Richard R. Thissell; her grandchildren, Jeremiah Thissell and Joshua Thissell, and Sarah Wyatt Thissell; great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Nicolas, Victoria, Ayla and Lia Thissell; and many nieces and nephews.
services: Calling hours will be Monday, Sept. 30, 4 to 7 p.m. at the Durning, Bykowski & Young Funeral Home, 285 Manchester St., Manchester. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church in Goffstown, followed by burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Bedford.
