MANCHESTER - Theresa P. Mardanes, 84, of Manchester, NH, died March 20, 2013, at a local health care facility, after a period of failing health.

Born in Boston, MA on June 30, 1928, she was the daughter of Charles and Marcelina (Rego) Harris. She resided in Manchester since 1966. She also lived in Punta Gorda, Florida for several years.
Until her retirement, she worked at Jewell Electrical Instrument Company.
Mrs. Mardanes was an active member of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church. She was a member of Tri-Ortho and the Assumption Philoptochos Society.
A loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, her family was the center of her life. She enjoyed baking and crocheting.
She was married thirty-four years to Charles K. Mardanes. He died February 18, 1980. She was also predeceased by her grandson, Nicholas Mardanes.
Family members include two sons, Charles R. Mardanes and his wife, Nancy, and Timothy A. Mardanes and his wife, Barbara, all of Manchester; her daughter, Donna V. Kimball of Hooksett; four grandchildren, Chad, Paul, Timothy, and Jeffrey; five great-grandchildren; her brother, Walter Harris of Punta Gorda, FL; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Sunday from 3 to 7 PM at the Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, corner of Concord and Union Streets, Manchester.
The Trisagion service will take place Sunday evening at 6 PM in the funeral home.
The funeral service will be held Monday at 11:30AM in the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 111 Island Pond Road, Manchester, with the Rev. Athanasios Nenes officiating.
Burial will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Church, 111 Island Pond Road, Manchester, NH 03103.
