MANCHESTER - Tran Thi Diep, 87, died Dec. 30, 2012, at the Elliot Hospital surrounded by her family following a few years of declining health.

Madam Diep had lived in Manchester for the past 20 years, after immigrating from Vietnam with her husband and several other family members.
She was predeceased by a son, Banh, ARVN Airborne, killed in action in Vietnam, and her husband of 60 years, Quy Van Tay, who died Jan. 2, 2012, and with whom she resided for many years on Lake Street in Manchester before moving in with family members.
Madam Diep is survived by eight children, Than Tay and wife, Dung of Culpeper, Va., Sang Tay and wife, Loan Pham, Loi Tay and wife, Wendy Thong Tay, Thong Tay and wife, Loan Le, Loc Tay and wife, Chan, Hang Tay and husband, Shawn Luc, Nga Tay and husband, Giau Lam and Helen Tay and husband, Ro Kim all of Manchester. She leaves behind a family of over 100 in the U.S., including 34 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends on both sides of the Pacific.
She was a communicant of Phuoc Dien Temple in Manchester.
SERVICES: Burial will be with her husband in National Memorial Park in Falls Church, Va.
