BERLIN -- Margaret K. (Farquhar) Sinibaldi, 86, died peacefully Feb. 5, 2010, at St. Vincent de Paul Nursing Facility.

She was born Feb. 9, 1923, in Townsville, Queensland, Australia, to William and Effie (Yeoman) Farquhar.

She met and married her husband Orry while he was serving in the Army in Australia. They lived briefly in Australia before moving to the Berlin-Gorham area where they opened the family's business, Orry's Market, on Exchange Street and Main Street in Gorham, where she worked with him until their retirement in the 1980s.

She enjoyed her children and grandchildren, painting and the trips she took back to Australia to visit her family. In her early years in Australia she won ribbons and trophies for dancing.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years Oreste P. Sinibaldi, two sons, Dennis Sinibaldi of Nashua and Gary Sinibaldi of Gorham; a daughter Cheryl Lafferty of Litchfield Park, Ariz.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Beryl Hanran of Townsville, Australia, and Beverly Mullins of Chancellor Park, Australia; one brother, Neville Farquhar of Townsville, Australia; many nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home on Exchange Street in Gorham. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church with the Rev. Daniel Sinibaldi officating.

Internment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery.
