MANCHESTER -- Lucille A. (Dionne) Coutu, 77, died May 13, 2010, at Elliot Hospital.
She was born in Manchester, Aug. 12, 1932, to Adrien and Ida (Labrie) Dionne. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a preschool teacher at Ste. Marie's Daycare. She volunteered at the West Side Senior Center.
She was a lifelong communicant of Ste. Marie Church. She was a member of High Hopes and Les Dames de St. Anne.
Her hobbies included reading, knitting, sewing, doing crafts, oil painting and dancing. She was a very active person.
Members of her family include her husband of 58 years, Fernand E. Coutu, of Manchester; two sons, Roger Coutu of Hooksett and Norman Coutu of Bedford; three daughters, Jeanne Fatta, of Syracuse, N.Y., Denise Coutu of Manchester and Colette Pouliot of Manchester; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Armand Dionne of Kent, Ohio, and Charles Dionne and Raymond Dionne, both of Manchester; five sisters, Loretta Schneider of Tallmadge, Ohio, Rita Hebert of Hampton, Gertrude St. Onge of Goffstown, Yvette Labrecque of Goffstown and Claire Harmon of Mifflinville, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.
IN HER LIFE: Mrs. Coutu was predeceased by her sister, Louise McWhirter.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St., corner of Union Street, Manchester. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at Ste. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester. Committal prayers will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.

Although I'm far from NH and rarely saw Aunt Lou in the last few decades, I still hold fond and endearing memories of her humor, love and commitment to her lord Jesus Christ. I'll see her on the other side of death! Praise the holy name of Jesus Christ!
