HOOKSETT - Edward M. Roy, 65, died Feb. 27, 2012, at the Community Hospice House, in Merrimack.

Mr. Roy was born in Manchester, Dec. 14, 1946, the son of the late Maurice A. and Albertine L. (Messier) Roy. He was a longtime resident of Hooksett.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Roy was employed at Saint Gobain Performance Plastics, for many years.
His hobbies and interests include; fishing, vegetable gardening and reading comic books. Mr. Roy also enjoyed watching old movies, especially science fiction.
Members of his family include his wife of 32 years, Patricia A. (Kenney) Roy, of Hooksett; a son, Richard E. Roy, of Derry; two grandsons, Zachary and Brody Roy; one brother, Philip Roy, of Peterborough; one sister, Diane M. Cate, of Nashua; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Roy was predeceased by two brothers, Norman A. and Robert W. Roy.
SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 250 Coolidge Avenue, in Manchester.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, in Hooksett.
