GOFFSTOWN - Ethel M. Durrell, 98, peacefully left this earth on Feb. 4, 2014. Most recently, she had been living in Goffstown, prior to which she was a longtime resident of Hollis.She was born in Winchendon, Mass., on March 22, 1915, and was the daughter of the late Edgar and Mabel (Fuller) Mann.She the widow of Herman "Dusty" Durrell.In her long life, Ethel worked as a hematologist at Lowell General Hospital for many years. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, crocheting and especially caring for her beautiful flower garden.She and her husband, Dusty, were instrumental in the planning and building of Faith Baptist Church in Hollis. Ethel was active in the ladies' groups, a deaconess and entertained many missionaries in their home.She is survived by two daughters, Diane White and her husband, Ed, of Rangeley, Maine, and Donna Bulka and her husband, Nick, of New Boston; her grandchildren, Dave Bennet and his wife, Michelle, of New Boston, and Heather Lynch of Nevada; two great-grandchildren, Cody Penhaker of Arizona and Jessica Limback of Nevada; her sister, Harriet Durrell of Nashua; her sister-in-law, Eva Mann of Bedford; as well as many nieces and nephews..

SERVICES: Visiting hours will be held at the Davis Funeral Home, One Lock St., Nashua, on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A celebration of her life will be held at Faith Baptist Church, 43 Wheeler Road, Hollis, on Friday at 10 a.m. Interment prayers and burial will follow in Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell, Mass.In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial donation to The Villager Retirement Home, 50 N.
