GOFFSTOWN - Alfred J. Devriendt, 92, died March 2, 2014, following a brief illness.

Born in Walpole, Mass., he had been a resident of Weare for the past 20 years, previously living in Goffstown. He was the son of Alfred and Edith (Balduff) Devriendt.

Mr. Devriendt had been employed at the Overhead Door Company of Goffstown and the Pine Center of Derry.

He enjoyed spending time outdoors tending his garden, working his farm and was a passionate New England sports fan. He was a hard working man and a talented woodworker.

Mr. Devriendt was predeceased by his wife Carolyn Devriendt, and a daughter Karen Devriendt-Davis.

Members of his family include five children, David Devriendt, Sheryl Kehas-Comeau, Judith Devriendt-St. Cyr, Daniel Devriendt, and Dianne Moss; 12 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: A graveside funeral service will be held in the spring at Westlawn Cemetery. The French and Rising Funeral Home. 17 South Mast St., Goffstown is in charge of arrangements.
