MANCHESTER - Joan McGorry Dimick ("Noni") of Manchester passed away suddenly on March 5, 2014, surrounded by her loving family and lifelong friend, Marguerite Wageling.

She was born on Sept. 15, 1957, the daughter of Joan C. McGorry (Donahue) and the late Robert D. McGorry. She graduated from Manchester High School West, Class of 1975, where she was voted "Class Clown."

Joanie enjoyed spending time with her family, rides with her husband on their Harley Davidson, crocheting, knitting, tending her garden, country music and spending time with her much loved dog and sidekick, Teq.?She and her husband were active members of the Manchester H.O.G. Chapter 1294. Always the giver, Joanie was a caring wife, daughter, sister, step-mother, aunt and friend who valued time spent with family and friends above all else. She was fond of reminding her husband, Shawn, that she "loved him more," to which he would counter that he "loved her longer."

Joanie was well-known for her sharp wit and always insisting on having the last word. She was warm, compassionate and selfless. Her extended family includes her friends and co-workers at the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, where she worked since 2005.
