GREENVILLE - Mary E. Pelletier, 89, of Greenville, died Monday, March 31, 2014, with her family at her side, at Monadnock Hospital after a brief illness.She was born in Greenville, the daughter of Marion and J.W. Buttrick Sr. and had lived here all of her life.Mary was a lifelong member of Greenville Congregational Church (now the Greenville Community Christian Church). She was the former organist, lifelong choir member and choir director along with serving on many other church boards.Mary graduated from Milford High School and earned her bachelor's degree from Keene State College. She taught in various area schools including the Temple public schools for 22 years.She was a member and past matron of the former John Everett Chapter, O.E.S., of New Ipswich. She was a member and former president of the Greenville Woman's Club. She was a charter member and former president and VP of the Greenville Historical Society.In the little Town of Greenville that she loved so much, Mary was a selectman for eight years, a town auditor, trustee of trust funds and Parks and Recreation. Her town activities also included the Greenville Centennial, Greenville Town Choir and July 4th Committee.Mary leaves two sons, Andrew Pelletier and his wife, Mary, from Greenville, and Arthur Pelletier from Cherry Valley, Mass. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Bertrand "KoKo", in 1991. She also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews and their families.
