MANCHESTER - Francis B. Parker, 71, a longtime resident of Manchester, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014, at the Westwood Care and Rehabilitation Center in Keene.He was born in Athol, Mass., June 12, 1942, the son of the late Harold and Dorothy Parker.He worked for many years with B&B Shoe Company in Manchester.Mr. Parker had a special love of music and enjoyed playing the harmonica. He also enjoyed fishing, flower gardening, and classic car shows.He is survived by two children, Lynn Quade and her husband, Patrick, of Rindge, David Parker and his wife, Mary Jo, of Manchester; two grandchildren, Nicholas Leroux of Keene, Robert Leroux, Jr. of Jaffrey; three brothers, John Parker of Ulster Park, N.Y., Robert Parker of Meriden, Conn., Harold Parker, Jr. of Manchester; a sister, Mary Desmond of Winchester; his step-mother, Thelma Parker of Hinsdale; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Arthur Parker, in 1999.

services: A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 26, at 11 a.m. in the Village Church, 121 Cobble Hill Road, West Swanzey. Family and friends are welcome. Burial in the Monadnock View Cemetery, Keene, will be private.
