AMHERST - Helen L. Staiti, 70, a longtime resident of Amherst, died and entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on May 16, 2014, at Crestwood Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Milford.She was born in Worcester, Mass., on June 7, 1943, a daughter of William and Helen (Archer) Aldrich.Helen was a homemaker for most of her life and was most happy when surrounded by her family. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother and grandmother.She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church, Milford, and in her spare time she enjoyed going fishing with her husband.Family members include her husband of 44 years, George J.L. Staiti of Amherst; three daughters, Dona M. Vander Heyden of Dorchester, Mass., Barbara Vander Heyden Arnold of Brookline and Cora Staiti of Nashua; a son, Anthony Staiti of Milford; four stepchildren, Thomas Staiti of Wilton, David Staiti of Antrim, Cynthia Proctor of Hopkinton, Mass., and Christine Staiti of Arlington, Mass.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, William Aldrich and David Aldrich, both of Florida, Walter Aldrich of California; many nieces and nephews.

services: There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 21, at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, 34 Amherst St., Milford.
