Goffstown - Lillian Elizabeth Johnson, 101, died May ?25, 2014, following a period of declining health.Born in Cambridge Mass., she was the daughter of William and Marion (Tuffts) Marvin.Mrs. Johnson has been a resident of Goffstown for the past 25 years, having previously lived in New Boston. She had a deep religious faith and enjoyed reading the Bible daily. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Concord.As the oldest resident of Goffstown, Mrs. Johnson recently received the Boston Post Cane. Never one to stand still, she worked into her 80s and continued to crochet and make other arts and crafts into her 90s.She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Johnson, and a daughter, Judith Akel.Members of her family include a daughter, Beverly Kilmartin Marino and her husband, John, of Goffstown; her son, Marvin C. Fay and his wife, Priscilla, of Alabama; five grandchildren; and eight great- grandchildren.
services: Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 28, from 10 to 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Manchester, 536 Union St., Manchester. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the church.
