GOFFSTOWN - Donald Walter Haskell of Goffstown, died on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home. He was 92.Don was born and raised in Still River, Mass. He was a military veteran who served in the U.S. Army Medics in England during World War II where he met his wife of 68 years, Sue Vera Haskell. After the war, he graduated from Boston University and later joined New Hampshire Insurance Company (AIG) where he retired after 37 years. In retirement, Don worked for Barrett Insurance Agency and the Goffstown News. Don was an active member of the Goffstown Lions Club, the Goffstown Town Budget Committee, and the Goffstown Historical Society. For several years, he served as a Board member of the Visiting Nurses Association. Don loved his family and enjoyed many summers at their cottage in Hampton. He was a humble man who appreciated nature, golf, travelling and square dancing. He is survived by daughter, Sheila E. Skeffington and her husband Donald of Cumberland, Maine, and Janet E. Haskell of Salt Lake City, Utah. The family wants to thank the exceptional staff at Hillsborough County Nursing Home.

SERVICES: Visiting hours are Wednesday, June 25, from 5 to 8 p.m. at French & Rising Funeral Home, 17 South Mast St., Goffstown.
