MANCHESTER - Dale P. Swisher peacefully passed away on June 26, 2014, surrounded by his loving family.He was born on Sept. 26, 1939, in Ypsilanti, Mich., to the late Forrest Dale and Shirley Millicant (Meyers) Swisher.Dale was also raised in Ypsilanti, Mich., where he enlisted in the U.S. Army to honorably and proudly serve his country in Vietnam. He also served in the Navy and eventually served in the National Guard.After a long career at New Boston Tracking Station, Dale retired and enjoyed the things he loved, which included fishing, camping with his grandsons, electric trains, NASCAR, all animals and driving a school bus for the Goffstown and Bow school districts.His family was paramount to him. Dale was an easygoing and generous man with a sharp sense of humor, and he will be missed by many friends and relatives who knew and loved him well.Dale is survived by his wife, Sharon Swisher of Manchester; his children, Susan Swisher of Goffstown, Iris Peppin of Hillsborough, Joni Nunn of Manchester; his brothers, Richard Kirk, Ken Swisher, and sisters Barbara Neal and Sharon Halloway, all of Michigan; his grandchildren, Robert Peppin, Joseph Peppin, both of Hillsborough, Myles Allen of Manchester; and many nieces, nephews and friends.Aside from his parents, Dale was predeceased by his stepfather, Richard Kirk; his brother, Robert Swisher; and his first wife, Joan Swisher.
