Fremont - Ernest "Ernie" Armond Quintal, 83, died on July 20, 2014, at The Courville at Manchester after a sudden decline in health.He was born on March 3, 1931, to Amede and Alice (LaSante) Quintal in Raymond. Ernie had been a primary resident of Raymond for most of his life, in addition to living in Fremont and serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked for several area shoe shops, overseeing the maintenance and repair of the facilities and equipment.Ernie spent much of his time at his Nash Stream camp in northern New Hampshire, snowmobiling and attending many of the local country fairs, where he hosted horse and cattle pulling. Ernie was an active member of the Raymond Sportsman's Club and enjoyed the friendships he developed, participating in club outings and volunteering for many activities. Hobbies included raising livestock, gardening and watching his favorite football team, the New England Patriots.Ernie was predeceased by his loving wife of many years, Nancy (Currier) Quintal, and his siblings, Rudolph, Adelard ("Bing"), Paul, Maurice, Emile, Irene and Annette. He is survived by his sister, Marguerite Quintal of Raymond, and several nieces and nephews.The family would like to express its appreciation to the caring staff at The Courville at Manchester and the Manchester VNA Hospice Program..

SERVICES: A memorial graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 26, at 11 a.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery, Raymond. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ernie's memory to the Raymond Sportsman's Club, P.O.
